March to May, floodplains of the Northern Territory feed the last of the
wet season's rain into creeks and rivers. At these places and rock bars
the Barramundi gather in numbers to feed on small bait fish, prawns etc.
leaving the floodplains. Fish
of all sizes can be caught at these creek mouths and narrow waterways
with breathtaking scenery on Shady Camp and the South Alligator River
floodplains. |

Wildlife like estuarine crocodiles, Jabirus, sea eagles, egrets, magpie
geese, kites also congregate in the wetlands as you chase your fish of
a lifetime. You will see places and wildlife interactions that road-based
